David Kilby has been president of FinFit since it’s founding in 2008. He has grown the company from a single idea into the nation’s leading Financial Wellness Benefit platform. Chosen as one of the top 100 companies to work for three years in a row (2014-16), FinFit pursues a mission of changing employees lives one employee at a time. Prior to FinFit, David led a multi-million dollar financial institution holding company, where he was inspired to find a way to help employees get more financially fit. At KPMG Peat Marwick, Norfolk, Virginia, he worked with a variety of public and private organizations in a variety of industries included: automotive, chemical manufacturing, consumer finance, managed health care, retail, real estate and wholesale organizations.
David received his CPA designation in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1991 and graduated from Old Dominion University. Today he serves as the President of the Ability Center of Virginia, a charity devoted to helping children and adults with disabilities serve productive lives. He is also an active member with the Young Presidents Organization and an active Board Member of Old Dominion University Business School, plus a Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Jennifer Creech brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to FinFit. Jennifer is accountable for the overall sales initiatives, client acquisition and strategic relationships. She is also responsible for client retention strategies and the development and management of sales agents. Jennifer is focused on growing FinFit’s presence in the health wellness industry after successfully implementing several payroll service bureaus. She expertly navigates all partnership opportunities to ensure FinFit’s success now and into the future.
Jennifer previously served as VP/ Director of Marketing at Bank of Hampton Roads/ Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc. As an officer of the bank, she was responsible for the development and implementation of the Bank’s sales and marketing programs and was a member of the Retail Leadership Committee to expand the retail banking division.
Jennifer currently is the President of It’s A Surprise and offers support to various community charities.
Kristen brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to her role as Director of Client Engagement and awareness. She leads a dynamic team of onboarding specialists whose focus is ensuring employers understand the benefits of FinFit and are ready to roll it out to their employees. She works closely with Marketing to craft and measure the omnichannel onboarding experience and works to retain and re-engage existing partners, clients and employees.
She’s a Virginia Beach native who enjoys travel and cooking, just not at the same time.
Kristen came to FinFit in 2010 and has been instrumental in the development of the proprietary FinFit system and processes. As the Director of Operations she is responsible for the overall management of the FinFit operations. This includes development and management of the systems in collaboration with the IT team, overseeing client and software integrations, portfolio analysis and review including changes to processes to improve performance, oversight of the customer service and processing departments, and project management. Kristen is also instrumental in the development of innovative technologies that support and develop the FinFit financial wellness model
Kristen holds a Bachelors in Business with a concentration in Finance degree and is currently pursuing her MBA at Old Dominion University. She began her career at HSBC Bank in the customer service and collections departments and later was responsible for process improvement and project management. She was selected to lead numerous special projects including a foreclosure avoidance project that liquidated over $2 Million dollars in less than 3 months. In her spare time Kristen enjoys photography and is an avid sports fan.
Pete Ostberg joins FinFit after spending 20 years in the payroll industry. Pete is responsible for conducting market research and analysis to strengthen FinFit’s product portfolio by adding new and exciting offerings to help employees become more financially fit. Pete is also focused on growing the number of valued partners and ensuring the successful implementation of FinFit with each one.
Prior to FinFit, Pete worked at Paychex in a variety of roles. He has in depth knowledge of tax payments, payroll, insurance, operations, business analysis, and product management. During his tenure there he helped to strategically position new products as they were brought to the market. Pete has a degree in Political Science from SUNY Geneseo and in his spare time enjoys sports and traveling.
As our Director of Marketing, Joseph defines our next generation marketing strategy, UX and brand initiatives. Helping to create the experiences that change lives, one employee at a time.
For over a decade, Joseph was Chief Experience Officer of Spiral Sky, a business transformation agency, helping major brands like US Cellular, Revell, Estes, and Cobra Electronics as well as challenger brands like CiiL TV, The Brookfield Zoo and DisplayPort achieve profitable growth and dominant market share. Prior, he was at Frankel and the Alpha Group where Joseph was an important strategic advisor to Visa USA for their Consumer Check & Credit, Commercial Cards and Services and Prepaid Card business units. He has worked with and advised most major US Banks including US Bank, Bank of America, Union Bank and Chase on product launch strategy.
When not at work, Joseph is active on several working groups with the Center for Financial Innovation. He is also an internationally certified martial arts coach and referee and since 9/11 donates free time teaching first responders and military personal.
As FinFit’s Director of Product Development, David leads our underwriting and portfolio analytics team. He plays a central role in refining our proprietary underwriting model and identifying ways to boost customer success. When he isn’t crafting insights from data with his team, he leads new product development working to find new, responsible ways to deliver financial fitness or services that enhance financial wellness for our members.
David graduated from Lee University magna cum laude. An avid soccer player, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.
Bill Hall serves as Compliance Officer for FinFit, and is responsible for identifying, assessing, mitigating and monitoring all legal, regulatory, operational and reputational risks for the Company.
Bill brings extensive legal and regulatory compliance experience to FinFit, primarily in the financial services industry. After beginning his legal career as an Associate Attorney with Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge and Rice in Winston-Salem, NC, Bill had a 19-year career in the Law Department at United Guaranty Corporation in Greensboro, NC. At United Guaranty, Bill served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel, as well as International Group General Counsel.
Bill earned a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Davidson College and a J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Bill is licensed as an attorney in the state of North Carolina.
Brooke joined FinFit in early 2013 and focuses on key areas such as Talent Management, Employee Development and Training, Benefits, Payroll and Compensation, Business Strategy, Employee Relations and developing programs to increase employee engagement.
Brooke Saunders, a graduate of Old Dominion University, started her Human Resources Career at Robert Half International as a Staffing Manager in 2002. She worked there for 3 years and recruited, hired, interviewed, and placed administrative workers into office positions for her clients.
Brooke has years of experience in the hospitality field, where she served as both Human Resources Director and Resort Marketing Recruiter for large organizations such as Gold Key Resorts and LTD Hospitality. Her skills included the development of effective recruiting programs, handled all associate relations and counseling, tracked all worker’s compensation claims and other various HR functions to support the HR Manager.
Cristal Lewald brings more than fifteen years of experience in accounting and finance. Cristal is responsible for the ongoing financial operations and reporting, and the analyzing and creating of systematic process efficiencies within the accounting operations.
Prior to joining FinFit, Cristal worked in public accounting at KPMG and spent time in private industry. She has served in many leadership positions within finance, but also as a business partner to senior management using her customer focus and creative skills to create new ways to drive results and operational efficiency.
Cristal graduated with a BA in Business from Virginia Wesleyan College and currently holds a CPA license to practice in Virginia. Her spare time is spent with her children, mostly on the baseball field, basketball court or dance class.
Elanny Letada has been with FinFit for over six years. As an Accounting Manager, she manages accounting operations, accounting close, account reporting and reconciliations. In addition, she assists in various process automations to increase efficiency in the day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining FinFit, Elanny was an auditor for Grant Thornton LLP. She provided auditing services to various public and private organizations. She also served as an external reporting accountant for NII Holdings where she assisted in the preparation and coordination of financial reporting to the Securities Exchange Commission. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis and traveling with her husband and three children.
Alexis brings to FinFit over 10 years of client and customer support experience. Alexis joined FinFit in 2013 as a Client Support Specialist. Her passion for helping clients and knack for understanding and anticipating client needs resulted in Alexis quickly being promoted to the Support Team Lead. Alexis continued to thrive in her new role which resulted in a second promotion to the On boarding/ Client Support Supervisor.
In this role, she is responsible for the daily management of the on boarding and customer success teams. Alexis ensures our team is fully trained and is providing the top notch service that clients and members expect. Alexis also serves as a direct point of contact to larger strategic partners ensuring consistent successful relationships.
She began her career assisting customers in 2004 working for Wachovia Bank. She transitioned into the mainstream customer support environment in 2006, working for ASI and Optima health. Alexis’ own personal mantra is if a client is in need, the best comfort for them is finding a solution. In her spare time she enjoys her time with friends and family
Sarah Vroman brings over 17 years of Account Management experience to FinFit. Sarah is responsible for the Accounts Portfolio, managing a team of portfolio managers who work directly with our clients to find resolutions to their accounts. She works closely with her team, including making calls side by side her associates. Leading by example and experience have proven to be instrumental in the success of the groups she manages.
Sarah worked for 12 years with Bank of America leading various departments. Sarah is a mom to a middle schooler and is actively engaged as the Chairman of the Board for a youth Group called “ The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls”. She is also actively involved in a Non-Profit Organization “Connect with a Wish”, which grants wishes and helps with the needs of our Foster Care Youth in Hampton Roads.
